PCR Diagnostics
Pest Pros Inc. has expanded our laboratory to include real-time PCR Diagnostics.  We use PCR technology to identify the presence of pathogenic DNA or RNA.  We extract DNA or RNA from many sources of tissue including plant tissue, insect vectors, nematodes, and precipitation.  This technology is rapid, sensitive, and accurate.  Our testing services provide growers with a tool to solve pest management issues specific to their farm, and develop management strategies tailored to their environment.

Vector Transmitted Diseases:
We utilize real-time PCR testing for Aster Yellows Testing in leafhoppers and Zebra Chip in psyllids.
STORECAST:
Storage Potato Disease Risk Indexing:
used to index the risk of storing a particular lot or field of potatoes. Test for Soft rot, Pythium, and Pink Rot.
Spore Influx Monitoring:
precipitation or leaf samples are tested periodically for pathogenic fungal spores in row crops.
Nematode Testing:
including root knot species ID, soybean cyst nematode testing, and stubby root nematode testing for TRV.
